This is becoming an annual tradition, which is a win win in my book.
Heather & Kristen gathered for the fourth year in a row! May is a wonderful time in Maine (although don't tell the summer visitors, it's our secret). The days are warm, although no kayaking this year, not that warm. The nights are chilly enough for a fire in the woodstove. And we had Acadia National Park practically to ourselves.
First off, here's a refresher of our 1st annual sisters gathering, 2nd annual sisters gathering and 3rd annual sisters gathering. More than you wanted to know, but still... it's fun that I know how to insert hyperlinks into a blog post, so thanks for humoring me.
We ate and drank to our hearts' content- pizza and beer at Odd Alewives, cheesecake at Momo's, dinner at the Thirsty Whale- seriously, a restaurant named the Thirsty Whale! So fun.
Hiking was magnificent, the sunrise at Cadillac was breathtaking, and the company was exceptional.

Please note: Kristen did not fall in. Didn't see her there? Oh, zoom way in on the little blue shirt. But nope, she did not fall in. Much to my relief. |

Already counting down til next year.
Bonus photo of the fairy house carved into a tree which we came upon while hiking around Little Long Pond. Someone spent a lot of effort carving this palace.
