Creating thankfulness

We celebrated Thanksgiving in CT with Heather's Maine cousin Liz and her family--

Then we drove north to Maine the next day, and spent a beautiful week in the state.

Of course, tis the season for splitting wood. You saw that coming, didn't you? We're predictable. And we go through quite a bit of firewood. (Remind yourselves of previous years here and here).

Weather was clear and bright, and warm-ish. Sarah and Mark rounded out the crew and we got a LOT done.

Monday we took a daytrip up to Rockland to visit the Farnsworth Museum. What a wonderful place! We enjoyed learning about 3 generations of Wyeth's (as well as many other talented artists), and viewing some early Christmas decor.

Yes, that is a tree made of lobster pots, with a large lobster tree topper. It's midcoast Maine. What can I say.
