We've taken our time determining how best to use the bonus space in the loft. Remember when we put in the floors? Refresh your memory with that blog post here: We are still very pleased with that decision- easy to install, budget friendly, and the floor tiles have held up to kids and dogs.
With limited headroom, the space required careful layout and organization. It's turning into an excellent office with a comfy futon for overnight guests (and the occasional snoring pup).
Many hands make light work, so big thanks to Bill, John and Chuck for the front rail design and install.
Heather, Beth and Tony get the credit for pull down stair railing design, fabrication and install.
Success all around. Come visit and see for yourself in person!
Best part, no one can fall out now!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteSleeping up in the loft just won't be the same without the thought of possibly rolling out and down, down, down. :) Seriously, though, it is beautiful. Well done all around. I'll have to find adventure somewhere else.
ReplyDeleteAll amazing photos! And the loft's new safety rails are surely a comforting addition....hahahaha.
