Our wonderful friends came north for a warm-weather visit (link here to flashback to our frigid December get-together) to help kick off the big project of bringing raw taped and mudded sheetrock to life
We tackled the dusty, messy job of sanding the sheetrock in our whole house. After a full day of that, all four of us were covered in white dust from head to toe. Not a pretty sight- we will spare you the photos of THAT.Luckily, we rewarded ourselves with hot showers- followed by dinner at King Eiders Pub, with fresh local oysters. What a treat.
The next day, we swept and damp-ragged all dust off the walls and ceilings, then vacuumed the floors. Finally, with only 90 minutes until scheduled departure, come the initial coat of primer on the walls. Very rewarding.
