Springtime boating... part 1

So many good times this spring in Maine, and sooooo much rain.

Truly, Mainers have never seen so much rain! Good thing they build sturdy boats around here...

Third annual sisters gathering, where we got in a few paddles, ate amazing food, I roped Kristen into some gardening (she's a trooper), and we generally enjoyed ourselves no end. But the real news, Kristen got a sailboat! This little pirate Puffer (awaiting a name) was delivered by Eleanor and Husband, in two trips (first trip forgot the boom... an important detail).

Kristen got her rigged up in the driveway (unusual kitchen window view) and the next morning, she was on the water. What a beautiful sight, and although I've known my sister through many many joyful moments, it's been a long time since I've seen her smile so bright.
