Spent a wonderful week with cousin Katy, who flew across country to be back in Maine. Amazing that we are all able to travel again, hopefully staying safe.
The week was filled with fun, low-key activities--
Kayaking (with and without dogs)...
Trail clearing...
Seaglass treasure hunting (Katy is worried there may be little left for Paige & Cailyn)...
Daily sightings of both heron and foxes (even one fox stranded on John's island after the tide came in! He did NOT act pleased about this dilemma.)...
And lots of fun and laughter.
Oh, and we did NOT skimp on the food- Pemaquid Oysters at Coveside (with this stunning sunset/moonrise)
and massive scoops of Round Top ice cream (fan favorite flavor was whoopie pie ice cream, oh you read correctly, it's a whoopie pie, it's ice cream, what an amazing marriage!)
