Opening for summer

It's been a long 3 months away from Maine, due to COVID-19.  We're so glad to be back for post-quarantine visits to check on the house and open for summer.  The Governor's current guidelines say we must self-isolate at the house... it's a tough job, but we're happy to do it!  No outings or socializing for us.

Not surprisingly, there's plenty to do-- getting the garden ready for summer, a coat of sealant on the deck and railings, and the never-ending project of polyurethaning to interior woodwork.  All this hard work was broken up with cups of coffee on the deck, kayaking in the cove, and enjoying evenings by the campfire.  Even Casey got in on the kayaking action!

We have a resident mama robin with a second round of lovely blue eggs in her nest, right on our deck post--- we try to give her space, but she is vocal with displeasure when we are coming and going.

We're excited to be back!
