April housekeeping

This and that activities in early April keep things moving along...

Our gorgeous mahogany wood counters came to life- the wood was salvaged from a boatyard in Camden and Bill lovingly brought it back to life in the form of kitchen countertops.  Take a look at the pre and post photos of this wood, which simply glows in the sunlight.  Can't wait to work at this kitchen counter.

In spite of how little our home is, we are short a few pieces of furniture- namely a bed for the bedroom, and a sleeper sofa to fit in the cozy living room.  We searched high and low for the sofa, and were thrilled to purchase locally in Scarborough, at Endicott Furnishings.  The sofa is slim but comfortable.  And, we are so happy with our fabric selection which is made of recycled plastic bottles- check it out!

Our sustenance this month was the surprise discovery of The Holy Donut (famous for their potato donuts), plus a spring treat of oysters (don't we seem to treat ourselves to oysters about every month?)

Hope you enjoyed all of the photos in this post.
