Local homeowners need a local address- in our case a PO Box. Saturday morning visit to Peggy the Postmaster and Bill the Mailman (who remarked, "lots of activity out there at your house this week!"- I'm pleased to know folks are keeping tabs on progress) covered all the bases. While they were thorough and asked for rigorous proof of id, learning that Heather was baptized in the church across the street and was "Suzy's daughter" moved us quick beyond the formalities. "Welcome home!" said Peggy. Looks like we're open for mail.
Holidays are upon us, and some greenery is a must. Our home welcomes you with a beautiful wreath, solar candles in the windows (zoom in the screen, see those little candles? And they're solar! You can buy yours here.), and a planter pot with natural elements- rosehips, cat tails, pine boughs and other greenery. Can't buy that anywhere, it's a Heather original.
Merry Merry!

And last but not least, we want to give a warm welcome to Dan the plumber! He will earn a full post all to himself, so here we'll just tease you with a few photos of his work. Beautiful, don't you agree?! More to come about adventures in plumbing and heating.
A chilly weekend deserves another hearty meal- my new favorite is beef stew, following the directions in this recipe. Delicious!
I never thought I would be calling plumbing beautiful, but here I am, doing just that! The holiday decorations are very lovely too!
ReplyDeleteI would love to stop over for some beef stew-- that looks delicious!
