Amp it UP!! (Part 1 of 2)

Can't deny that electricity goes out regularly in Midcoast Maine- each storm that blows through has homeowners scurrying to ensure easy access to candles and lamps, that the woodbox is full, and that extra buckets of water are at the ready for ... ahem... well, you know, necessary flushing.

Our little house in the trees is being built on a wooded lot, so we brought in electrical service to the site-- well, let me clarify-- not us personally, but rather the able-bodied crew from Central Maine Power.  Humor us here- you may not get excited about a photo of a utility pole, but it's quite magical to us.

Service to the house means we'd better get busy selecting lights!  Here are some of our choices:

Schoolhouse Light over kitchen window

Dining area light

Bathroom vanity light

C's joke of the week:

Why did the inventor get struck by lightening?
Because she was brainstorming!!

Stay tuned tor future post, part 2 of 2, where you'll meet our electrician and gain an even greater appreciation for his terrific work.
