Beautiful June flowers in bloom here in Maine. The recent warm weather and bright sunshine has done wonders for the flora. Photos below of lupines and dwarf dogwood.
Planning ahead for our summer garden-- Joe removed the 5 enormous stumps from our side yard, then dumped in 7 pickup trucks worth of manure (locally sourced, courtesy of Rosie, Emma and Leader), topped with a dumptruck of topsoil. A few turns of the roto-tiller, and we'll be ready to grow vegetables, herbs and flowers.
Celebrated these accomplishments by eating local- Oysters from the Damariscotta River and lobster from the docks. Nothing to complain about here. Happy June to you!
