Took a muddy walk down to the beach to capture the colors of the unique pebble/periwinkle/sea glass/mussel shell/etc blend that constitutes "sand" on the Maine beach. Can you imagine the sound of these treasures rolling up on the beach with each incoming wave? We're hoping to recreate this color combo on our rubaroc bathroom floor, thanks to the creative work of our friends at Dragon Scale flooring.
Speaking of colors, we narrowed the front door color down to a final 5-- what do you think? Remember that this front door will contrast against barnboard wood siding, which will grey naturally over time, and painted grey trim.
From left to right, the colors are:
Sandhill crane, Beau green, Venezuelan sea, Really teal & Blue peacock.

Took a break from running errands and studying paint samples with a late lunch at Moody's-- tragically, we were too full for pie. Next time.
We leave you with this bright color splash for your own creative thinking.
I think bean green is my choice for the door.
ReplyDeleteThe bathroom floor idea is spectacular! What a fantastic and gorgeous idea! In fact, I find myself wondering if you might consider trying to pick up a gray-blue from that palette for your door?
I can't wait to see this!
Beau green!
ReplyDeleteMoody's must be on the agenda when we plan my first visit!!
